Abstract: Pulo Annian is a Nuclear Micronesian language currently spoken by about fifty people on the island of Pulo Anna and in a ama11 settle-ment called &hang, Koror, in the Palau District of the U. S. Trust Territory of the Pacific Tslands. The present study attempts to give a description of Pulo Anniaa syntax within the general framework of the standard model of generative-transformational grammar with some minor modifications to suit Polo Annian. The language data were given by a Pulo Annian speaker at the Uni-versity of Hawaii, and also by the people at Echang Village while the writer was doing her field research. The Appendix includes a Pulo Annian-English dictionary and an English-Pulo Annian finder list.
