Title: Départ et structuration diégétique : la relation de voyage au Caire de Zayd Muṭī Dammāğ
Authors: Deheuvels, Luc
Issue Date: 2009
Publisher: Padova, Studio Editoriale Gordini
Abstract: What is the place of "departure" in the works of contemporary Arabic literature which focus on the travel? Where and how is it described? Is it possible to find any constants in the narrative structures that could be related to the generic nature of the works? These questions are studied through the anlysis of the autobiographical travelogue (Astonishment and Surprise) published in 2000 by the Yemeni writer Zayd Muṭī Dammāğ.
