Title: Una fonte poco nota per lo studio dello sciismo d'Iran del secolo 18. : il "Tatmīn Amal al-āmil" di ‘Abd al-Nabī al-Qazwīnī al-Yazdī

Abstract: Muḥammad al-Ḥurr al-‘Āmilī's biographical dictionary, "Amal al-āmil", composed in 1097/1686, spawned, in a tipically Islamic fashion, a series of appendixes and integrations to the original text. This article examines one of these works, the "Tatmīm amal al-āmil" by a rather obscure scholary figure of 18th century Iran, shaykh 'Abd al-Nabī al-Qazwīnī. Though incomplete, this work offers a valuable contribution to our knowledge of shiism, and its diffusion, in Iran in a time of political, military, and social disrupture.
